Dating back to the 3rd century AD, this intricate and richly colored ‘Triumph of Dionysus‘ mosaic depicts the triumphal procession to celebrate the god’s conquest of India. In the triumphal form of procession, wild animals such as tigers, elephants, camels, lions, and giraffes are being transported.
