We would recommend your company to people wanted to visit Tunisia. We enjoyed our time with Nadhem and Lotfi. They were very organized and made us feel safe. Lotfi is always cheerful and when you are hot and tired at the end of the day from walking, he was a delight to see.
3 out of 4 of us were sick for part of the journey and Nadhem was great in helping us at the pharmacy. We were not big fans of the Sousse Palace because of the food and we didn’t feel very safe in the city. I know that was a last minute change of location because of flight change. Cameron and the girls went out on their own before dinner and had two men approach them and walk with them in a fashion they lead them to just decide to return to the hotel.
We loved the guest house in El Kef and it was definitely a highlight. The man who greeted up (property care taker) was great, even with the language barrier and the food was wonderful. We don’t speak French but we made it work, sometimes with google translate. We also enjoyed Hotel Victoria and the staff there were helpful. It was fun to see all the people and the activities in the square. The water temple near the end of journey was also a favorite spot.
It was surprising of us when we learned that the National Guard were checking in with Nadhem regarding us, sometimes more than once a day. The local police were at all of the site we visited and they would follow us out of town. It would probably be good to give Americans some kind of information about that in advance. Nadhem said it happens whenever he had Americans, Canadians or Austrians.
There is so much I can say. We all agree it was a trip of a life time for us. I personally loved seeing the mosques.
