My boyfriend and I took a nine day private tour throughout Tunisia with Mosaic North Africa, based on their 8 day Star Wars Tour with some adjustments of our own, which they willingly customized for us.  We are both filmmakers and cinema nerds, and so in addition to the “Star Wars” locations, we added stops to see where “Indiana Jones,” ‘Monty Python,” and “The English Patient” were also filmed.  It was a fantastic way to travel the country, and one we will never forget!

The team at Mosaic North Africa exceeded our expectations and helped create a most memorable trip through Tunisia, which toured us through a variety of landscapes, introduced us to hospitable and spirited people,  and gave us a rich array of cultural experiences.

From beachside resorts on the Mediterranean Sea, to ancient Roman and Phoenician ruins, to historic Islamic cities, to desert oasis’s and beyond, there is surely something for everyone to see in Tunisia.

The best part of the tour were our guide, Salim, and driver, Lotfi, who were a dynamic duo that made us feel like one in a family, and who’s historical knowledge and personalized stories gave us an authentic and informative look at Tunisia.  They were completely accommodating with us in taking brief detours or stops when we wished to take photos or see something else, and the trip was adaptable to our interests.  They shared with us many laughs and we will fondly remember our time with Salim and Lofti for many years to come.

Tunisia is such a unique and fascinating country, with innumerable amounts of beauty, history and culture and I highly recommend visiting.  Having Mosaic North Africa help arrange the logistics of the trip made it an incredibly positive and much easier experience for us to travel around, without feeling like we were trapped on a “canned tour.”
