The trip was fantastic. It was everything we had talked about and more. It has long been a dream of mine to see the Roman mosaics in Tunisia and they were all I had imagined and more.
Nadhem is a great guide and I really enjoyed how he shared his country and its history with us. Any snafu’s were handled so quickly and efficiently they became absolutely insignificant.
Dar Ben Gacem (both sites) was really nice and the proprieters lovely. The grace with which I was treated when I showed up unexpectedly was world class. La Kasbah was fun to see and also very nice. We took advantage of getting in a little early to get a massage and wander around the hotel a little. I will say though, their dinner buffet is really bad. Dar Saida Beya and the hotel in Sousse were also very comfortable and worth recommending. The location of the hotel in Sousse was ideal for a free afternoon. I particularly enjoyed staying at smaller inns. Having said that though, it was a very nice suprise to find ourselves in a beach front property in Sousse!
When I look back on my correspondance with you, William, it goes back to January 2020! I appreciate your low key persistence during those long covid months to keep this trip alive. You and your company were far and away the easiest to work with during those uncertain times. I say this having had six trips booked when the shut down hit.
I may be one of the few people left who use an old fashioned travel agent. I have highly recommended Mosaic North Africa to her and encouraged her to contact you if she has any clients looking to travel in North Africa. As for me, I will unquestionably do the same.
Again, thank you for everything. The trip and working with you was a real treat.
