My husband and I did the Explore Tunisia tour, and we loved our time here! We haven’t traveled much outside of North America, and really appreciated Josh’s patience with answering our questions throughout the planning and prep.

Tunisia is beautiful – its history, architecture, food, culture, and people show rich intersections and interconnections between many ethnicities and cultures, including Roman, Arab, Amazigh, Christian, French, and more. (I kept thinking ‘this is how I imagined Morocco, but more authentic and less crowded by tourists!’)

We were so glad to get a taste of all this through many delicious meals (my personal favourites were ‘brik’ and ‘makroudh’) and wonderful sights seen. The variety of lodgings – from traditional Dar guest houses to luxurious hotels with fruit baskets to desert dwellings – also gave us a flavor of the different dwelling options here. We loved experiencing the diverse pace of life in Tunisia – from the busy souks in Tunis, to peaceful historical walks in Carthage or El Jem, to the quiet and moody Sahara desert – all in a few days! 

We were also pleasantly surprised by the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movie set locations here, and got to visit several locations. Props and movie scene pictures were provided to help us re-imagine the scene – this was certainly a bonus!

Our guide and driver were super attentive, kind and professional, making sure we were able to see everything we wanted to see; it felt like we were friends by the end of the trip.

Thank you so much for making a wonderful trip for us! We would certainly recommend this trip to everyone! (Definitely consider if you were thinking Morocco but wanted less crowds and something more genuine/authentic!)
