ST Hotel in Algiers (Hotel Review)

ST Hotel (also known as Space Telemly Hotel) is a popular hotel choice that offers comfortable modern rooms at an affordable price in Algiers. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the central downtown.

Exceptional Customer Service

After spending 2 nights at the ST Hotel on two separate occasions, I would rate the hotel as a 3-star hotel with 5-star customer service. While there are many other hotels in Algiers to choose from, the ST Hotel in Algiers offer exceptional customer service which in my opinion, makes this hotel stand out among the others.

I was traveling with a group visiting Ghardaia and the Deep Sahara South, which requires us to take domestic flights out of Algeria. Due to some of the domestic flight schedules being early morning flights or late evening arrivals, our group required a lot of special requests such as early check-in, using luggage storage space to hold onto our luggage while we’re on tour, early breakfast, etc. All of these demands were met without any issues. In addition, all of the hotel employees were very friendly towards us while maintaining a level of professionalism.

Basic Comfort Rooms

All of the rooms at ST Hotel are either double rooms with a queen bed or twin rooms. This works well for solo travelers or a couple, but families may need to split into two or more rooms. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, free WiFi access, and a flat screen TV with local and foreign channels.

The hotel has a conference room available which can be booked to host your business meetings, conferences, and workshops. The conference room has the capacity to hold up to 50 people. It comes fully equipped with all types of equipment necessary to run your business event.

The cafe room located beside the reception area was a nice quiet area for me to connect to the WiFi and plug in my laptop to catch up on my work. Plus ordering a cup of coffee made it the perfect mobile workstation.

Breakfast

The majority of hotels in Algeria are Bed and Breakfast only. Breakfast is taken in the morning in the dining room located downstairs. There is a good variety of breakfast food selection. We appreciate the ST Hotel staff for making special arrangement for us to take an early morning breakfast before our morning flight departure.

Conveniently Located in the Algiers Capital

The ST Hotel in Algiers is located in one of the largest boulevards in the Algiers capital. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the downtown center. It is also only a 20 minutes drive away from the Algiers Houari Boumediene Airport. It makes for a perfect location if you’re interested in visiting the famous Casbah, Notre Dame d’Afrique cathedral, some of the impressive museums in Algiers, or some of the historical sites in Algiers.

Since lunches and dinners are not offered at the hotel, you can take a 5-minute walk to the town center to look for restaurants. Just exit the hotel, cross the road, and walk down several flights of stairs until you reach the main downtown area. If you’re looking for a quick bite, we really enjoyed the Mediterranean fast food restaurant Restaurant Aladdin. Highly recommend their sandwiches and their platter including falafel, humous, baba ganoush and salad. If you’re looking for a fancier sit-down restaurant, then we recommend Caracoya which is also located in the Algiers downtown area.
