Perfect Way to End Your Algeria Trip

After spending 4 days exploring Timimoun and Taghit in Southern Algeria, our final overnight stay at Lamaraz Hotel in Algiers was the perfect way to end our Algeria tour!

We had an amazing time climbing massive Sahara sand dunes, touring Timimoun in a 4×4 vehicle, exploring massive rock formations, and much more. But after this grand Southern Algeria adventure, a touch of luxury in the Algiers capital was just what we needed. It’s truly rejuvenating to just spend a night in a clean, modern hotel room with a hot shower and to be able to lie down on a soft, comfortable mattress. To top it off, the panoramic sea view from the room that overlooks the Algiers city and bay was just spectacular!

Breakfast With A Spectacular View of Algiers

There are 8 floors in hotel, and breakfast is taken at the hotel restaurant located on the 7th floor. Unless you are staying at one of the suites on the 8th floor, then chances are you will be taking the elevator up to the restaurant.

Be prepared to be amazed with the spectacular view of the city of Algiers and the bay! You can also see the mosque of Algiers in the distance against the beautiful skyline. Unless you’re booked in the suites above, this panoramic view of Algier’s skyline is likely more beautiful than the sea view from your room below.

We would still highly recommend booking your room with a sea view, but in case you ended up with a city view, here’s your chance to enjoy the sea view while enjoying your breakfast.

This panoramic view alone makes the hotel booking a worthwhile stay!

The buffet style breakfast is exceptional with a great choice of intercontinental options, local Algerian dishes, pastries and fruits. Fresh juice is served in the bar lounge area. There is a staff assigned to make omelettes and crepes with the select ingredients of your choice.

The majority of hotels in Algeria are Bed and Breakfast only. There is a dinner option available at Lamaraz Arts Hotel for extra cost. Dinner is taken at the same restaurant and is buffet style. Our group decided to head into the Kouba neighbourhood for dinner at Restaurant à petit feu.

TV Screen Embedded into Wall

Each room at the hotel is air conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The TV screen is embedded into the wall which adds a nice touch of luxury to the rooms. Certain rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. Some rooms are also equipped with a jacuzzi. As mentioned earlier, we highly recommend booking a room with a sea view. We also suggest opening the window in the bedroom and living room for a nice breeze in the mornings and evenings.

The suites are located on the 8th floor, which is even higher than the restaurant located on the 7th floor. Thus, you’ll be getting the best sea view this hotel has to offer if you’re spending the night in the hotel suite.

There is also a spa centre located at the hotel. You will also find a 24-hour front desk at the property.

Getting Around From Lamaraz Hotel

The hotel is located a 7 minutes walk from the Amirouche Metro Station. From there, it takes about 10 minutes by metro to reach the city centre.

The nearest airport is the Algiers International Airport Houari Boumediene, which is less than 20 km away from the Lamaraz hotel. The hotel can organize an airport shuttle at an extra cost, but we always recommend traveling on a private tour with your own private driver and vehicle.
