Situated at the base of the Middle Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Fes is a city that will dazzle and amaze even the most experienced traveler. Founded over 1200 years ago by Moulay Idriss II, Fes has become the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco.
I only have 1 or 2 days in Fes, what should I visit?
If you visiting Fes make sure you take time to wind through the narrow streets and ally ways in the Fes medina. The best way to experience the medina is firstly by staying in a Riad. The medina has numerous 3 to 5-star Riads where you will find rest from all the noise and business on the medina streets. A Riad is a traditional Moroccan home turned into a guesthouse with a garden space and many of them have swimming pools. Each room is uniquely decorated with a Moroccan design. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan meal during your stay.

Make sure to plan for a half or full-day tour. Your guide will take you to the tanneries where you can watch the workers from above, the weavers, bronze workers, and much more. It is easy to get lost in the medina and even a GPS will not help while you are surrounded by towering walls and homes. Before your tour, you can book a lunch with us in a traditional Moroccan home where you will have numerous Moroccan salads, Tagine or Couscous, dessert, and finish the meal off with Moroccan mint tea.
