Whether riding a camel in the Sahara desert, romping through the ancient Roman ruins, or winding your way into the heart of an ancient Medina, North Africa is a wonderful place to travel as a family. Mosaic North Africa is owned by two families from Canada who know the value of experiencing new cultures, foods, peoples, and lands all together as a family. Kevin and his family are living in Morocco where we have been for the past few years and we have traveled throughout the land with our kids in order for them to appreciate the beauty and diversity found in North Africa. We have explored medinas and scaled the Sahara sand dunes even when our children were about 8 months old. Here are a few things we suggest when traveling to North Africa with your children.
- If you are traveling with small children make sure you have some good gear to carry your kids with. We know from experience that when you are on a city tour it is a good idea to be prepared to carry your kids when they get tired.
- Planning the right accommodations. We can suggest accommodations that are family friendly and have a swimming pool (which is a must for many kids).
- We suggest half or full board for family travel because we understand some of the difficulty when trying to find restaurants in new places.
