Bizerte: City by the Sea in Northern Tunisia

Bizerte is a Tunisian city and the most northern city in Africa. Some consider it to be the oldest city in all of Tunisia. From the city there are picturesque views and historic sites to explore.

The Beaches
Bizerte is home to four large beaches complete with white sand and beautiful blue waters. Sidi Salem is the most popular and biggest beach. The other beaches are La Grotte, Rasenjela beach which is better known for the caves you can explore, and Al Rimel beach.

Old Port
The Old Port is a must see site in Bizerte. It is filled with vibrant colored fishing boats and you can watch local fishermen bring in their daily catch.  It’s a great place to take a relaxing stroll and soak up the beauty of the area.

Other Attractions
The other sites in Bizerte are the fascinating oceanography museum complete with aquarium. There is also a historic and the Medina with narrow passages and Kasbah.
