The interior of the mosque can hold up to 25,000 people while the outer court can absorb another 80,000. The mosque's 210m high minaret and was designed by French architect Michel Pinsent. This is one of the few mosques in Morocco where non-Muslims can take a one hour guided tour inside. It is worth the visit as it is an architectural masterpiece with its elaborately crafted mosaics, fountains, and massive interior.
