Day 1 ARRIVE / CASABLANCA

Welcome to Morocco! Today you will arrive at the Casablanca Mohammed V international airport where you will meet your driver and be chauffeured to your hotel in Casablanca. If time remains after taking some rest there, you will visit the third largest mosque in the world, Hasan II mosque, for a tour of this architectural wonder. Dinner will be at your hotel.

Day 2 CASABLANCA / RABAT / CHEFCHAOUEN

After breakfast you will travel to the country's capital, Rabat, in time for lunch. If you missed the King Hassan Tour in Casablanca the day before we will make sure you and your group visit this incredible site. At Rabat you will see the King's Mausoleum, the palace walls, and take lunch in this city. After lunch you will wind through one of the country's most beautiful mountainous region to the quaint village of Chefchaouen. Upon arrival you will check into your hotel and get ready for an afternoon tour of the medina (old city). This world famous 'blue medina' will provide a plethora of unique photograph. Dinner will be served to your group at the hotel.

Day 3 CHEFCHAOUEN / FES

Today will be an exciting day of ancient sites and more cultural and historical learning. You will want to make an early morning departure for the spectacular Roman ruins of Volubilis where you will take a guided tour. After this you will continue on to to one of Morocco's ancient imperial cities of Meknes for lunch. The afternoon will be spent taking in a medina tour with a focus on the era of Moulay Idriss, his underground prison, gates, and famous mausoleum. A horse and carriage ride may finish the afternoon nicely. From Meknes you will drive to Fes for a good night's rest.

Day 4 FES

After breakfast your group will take a full day guided tour of the famous ancient medina of Fes... arguably the best in Morocco. In this 1200-year-old city you will visit sites where very little has changed since the city was first established. A lunchtime feast will be taken at a restaurant in a traditional house in the heart of the medina close to the world famous Kairaouine mosque. After this full day of touring you will retreat to your hotel for rest and dinner.

If you are interested, this would be a good day to pursue some Arabic language lessons, or Moroccan cooking classes.

Day 5 FES / ERFOUD

After breakfast at the hotel in Fes, you will embark on a day of traveling through the breathtaking alpine heights of the Middle Atlas Mountains until you reach your unique Kasbah (desert fortress) hotel in the oasis town of Erfoud. En route you will enjoy a short stop in the town of Ifrane, 'Little Switzerland' to photograph this modern mountain town and perhaps enjoy one of their cafes. You will then travel and try your luck at spotting Barbary Apes in the cedar forest in the Middle Atlas. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 6 ERFOUD / MERZOUGA DESERT EXCURSION

Today after breakfast you will be picked up by 4X4 vehicles to take you to Kasbah Derkaoua in Merzouga where you will begin your tour on camelback and spend the night under the Sahara stars in deluxe tents. You will take lunch at the Kasbah and rest until you depart for your Sahara desert camel trek. As day gives way to dusk the changing colours of the dune will both amaze you and beg to be photographed. Dinner will be taken at your deluxe camping site in the desert.

Day 7 MERZOUGA / OUARZAZATE

This will be an early morning for great shots of the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast you will ride your camels back to the Kasbah and be driven by 4X4 back to Erfoud where you will take your transportation to Tinghir. After a visit to the awe-inspiring Tinghir Gorges, you will travel to Ouarzazate and check into your hotel. This city is famous for its many foreign films that have been made in this location. In the afternoon you will explore the town and have some free time. Perhaps if time remains you would like to rent a dune buggy for an hour or two to explore the wilderness? Dinner will be at your hotel.

Day 8 OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH

Today will be an exciting day of traveling to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. In the morning you will visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which was the location for films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. You may stop any time along the way to Marrakech to photograph the mountains and remote alpine villages. When you arrive at your hotel you will rest from your busy day of travel and take dinner as a group.

Day 9 MARRAKECH

After breakfast you will set off for a full day Medina tour. During this tour you will visit the world famous square of Jna El Fna where you will most likely see snake charmers, monkeys and entertainers by day and story tellers and food stalls by night. Lunch will be on your own at a restaurant of your choice and dinner will be taken back at the hotel.

Day 10 MARRAKECH / ESSAOUIRA

After breakfast you may want to take a short walk around Marrakech for final shopping or exploration. Once you have had your fill of this fascinating city you will make your way to the coast to visit the artsy town of Essaouira. Upon arrival you will check into your hotel and take a tour of the medina. Here you enjoy the fresh seaside air while exploring this unique medina and fishing town... Dinner will be taken at your hotel.

Day 11 ESSAOUIRA / CASABLANCA

You may want to wake up early today for a final walk through the medina or along the sea to ponder all that you have seen and experienced in Morocco. After breakfast you will travel to Casablanca where your group may want to visit the medina or do any last shopping. Dinner will be taken at your hotel as a group.

Day 12 CASABLANCA / DEPART

Depending on your departure times you will take breakfast at your hotel and be transported to the Casablanca airport thus bringing to a close your five star Culture in Class tour.
